Struggling with Jobs?
If you haven’t already registered on the app, please do so.
Then you will need to “Sign in” to your account with your email and password.
If you do not have any jobs with us yet, you will automatically see the “Create Booking” screen when you log in to the app.
If you have previously created a job you will be presented with the “Bookings” screen, from there you can click ” Book” to add a new job for quotation.
Step 1 is to select your type of job;
When you’ve made a selection click “Next”
Step 2, give drivers a brief description and provide some pictures to help them quote more accurately.
If there is more information you think may help, such as “up 2 flights of stairs” or “limited van access due to a narrow lane”, click on additional info and add the extra details in the box provided.
Click “Next” to move to step 3, You’re half way through already!
Step 3, provide details of To and From addresses
Add a postcode, full address, or use the “current location” picker, if you are at the location the items need collecting from.
Then add a destination address and/or postcode – remember, the more accurate the information the more accurate the quotations will be.
If you’re having rubbish removed or a house clearance, you can request the driver to take everything to the nearest recycling or waste disposal site using the handy “Nearest Tip” button.
Then request a date and time for the collection, or simply ASAP.
And press “next” again to go to the final step.
Step 4 is a summary, just checking you have not forgotten anything and that all of the details are correct.
Once you’ve checked and you are happy, press “Submit”
There are plenty of drivers in your area all waiting to give you a quote for the job.
It won’t be long before you hear the “beep beep” which means you have received a quote from a local driver who can do the job for you!
What should you do when you’ve received a Quote from a Driver?
When you hear the “Beep Beep” from the app it could be a new Quote!
Click “view” to see the details of the quote.
You will be able to see a Driver’s review score, how many jobs they have completed, and their Insurance and License statuses, along with the Price Quoted and any messages they may have added to the quote.
You can communicate further with the driver or wait for more quotes, you’ll get a few quotes and they won’t all be the same as the drivers set their own prices.
Drivers can give information on number of people they will bring, and how many vans they have available, so for some jobs you may wish to choose a more expensive quote simply because more hands will be available.
Once you are ready to accept a quote, select which one you think will be best for the job and click “View Quote”
Inside the Quote detail screen, you’ll see a full breakdown of the charges and all the job details. If you’re happy with the quote, tap “Accept this quote” to move to the next step.
You’ll then be asked to confirm the booking and pay the full amount securely through the app. We hold the funds safely until the job is completed, and then we release payment to the Driver.
Enter your card details to pay for the booking
You will get a confirmation on the screen and via Email
Congratulations! Your job is now Booked!
To view booked jobs, click on the Bookings Menu and you will see Pending (quotes incoming), Accepted (Quotes accepted and paid for), and Completed bookings
Contacting a Driver after making a booking is easy!
After booking a job you can contact your Man + Van driver via the Confirmed Booking.
Select “Bookings” in the navigation menu at the foot of the app.
Find the job which has been quoted by choosing the “Accepted” filter at the top
Click on “View” to open the detailed view, and scroll down to the bottom where you will see a “Contact” option to open a messaging thread with your driver.
What do I do once the job is finished?
When the job is completed and your man and van is packing away, this is when you would normally pay the balance owed.
You should then press “job complete” and write a Review and give your driver a Star Rating.
The star rating and review process is an important part of the process. This will help our drivers build business reputation within the App and review their feedback. It will also help customers when choosing a service provider.
A few easy steps
Make sure you’ve downloaded the free app.
At the very bottom of the app’s sign up page click “sign up here to offer man + van services”.
Fill in the registration page and include your driving licence number, we need this to verify you.
If you have a Limited Company please give us the company name and your VAT or Waste Licence numbers if you have them.
Tick the boxes to confirm your Insurances (We may ask you to send us copies of your certificates).
Then tick to confirm you have read and agree to the terms and conditions and you are now registered !
You are now ready to quote on the jobs listed through the app!
Listen out for the beep beep !
During the quotation stage, you can add a question in the body of the quote, to provide more info or to clarify something with the customer.
After quoting for a job, and before the customer has accepted the quote, you will also be able to contact the customer via our integrated messaging service.
Access the “Quotes” section of the app, click on the quote in question, and near the bottom is an option to “View conversation with…” where you can open up a messaging thread with the customer.
You can ask the customer for more details, or why not let them know you are on your way or update them on your arrival time?
What do I do when I have completed the job?
When you have completed the job successfully Man & Van pays you on the same day.
The customer will then need to click on ” job complete” within the booking in the app. At this stage they are able to rate/review your service.
You will then receive a notification that the Client has marked the job as complete, and you can also click “job complete” within the job, this lets us know the service is all completed, and the booking can be archived to avoid clogging up your jobs list.

M&V was much easier to use than Shipley and had options that made having two items picked up in neighbouring Sheffield areas and transported to Wigan; there was even a question of how many men were required and any problems with access.

I had my doubts, but literally got 5 replies to my advert in less than an hour, (and I posted it at 7.30 am) – all sorted for a move in three days time in less than an hour. Way cheaper than any of the quotes I was getting through removal companies, the move went really well as well. Thought it would all be dodgy quotes and dubious characters , but actually turned out to be super easy, 50% cheaper than any other quotes I got and all went to plan. Will definitely use this app again whenever I move next.
Ease of use, minor glitches which I imagine will be ironed out like everything new. Nothing major but has plenty of jobs available.
I thought that it was a rubbish app at first, as nothing was coming in for my part of the UK. However, a job came in late last night and I was picked to complete it this morning. The only thing that’s not clear is how the client pays the booking fee. It shows how much goes to the driver and how much the total job is, but it doesn’t explain how or who is paying the booking fee.
