Best ways to dispose of rubbish in Liverpool

If you are looking for a man and van Liverpool, then it is likely that you want to dispose of some waste. This could be waste created by house renovation, by a house clearance or you are just having a sort out in the run up to Christmas.

If you are looking for ways to clear your home, garage or garden of unwanted junk or rubbish, read on as we look at the four best ways to dispose of waste in Liverpool.

#1 Waste sites and recycling centres

If you didn’t put your bin out early enough and missed the collection (naughty!), or just have a lot of extra waste to get rid of, then you could take it to a recycling centre – and Liverpool has five of them! Not like poor man and van Inverness who only has one to choose from! The centres in Liverpool are

  • Otterspool in Aigburth
  • Old Swan
  • South Sefton
  • Huyton
  • Kirkby

If you have the time and a car big enough then these free facilities can be a great solution. Simply choose the one that is nearest to you, and head on over with your rubbish. There will be site supervisors around to help guide you to the right container for your waste.

Remember though, these sites are only free to use for personal waste – not commercial. And its best to check opening times before you go, and what waste they accept to make sure you don’t end up on a wasted journey!

#2 Charity Organisations

As the old saying goes – “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!” And this is certainly true if you are clearing a house of unwanted items that are still in great condition.

Whether it’s a sofa, table and chairs, or cupboard if it is still in good condition, then there are lots of charity shops in Liverpool that will happily take it of your hands. And you will feel good knowing you are supporting a good cause too.

#3 Skip Hire

If you are going to be renovating your home, and producing waste over a regular period of time, then hiring a skip may be your best option. However, you will need some safe and secure outside space to store it for the duration of your project.

Skips tend to come in a variety of sizes, and you can choose between short- and long-term hire.

#4 Man and Van rubbish removal

Another option, and obviously the best in our opinion, is to use a man and van for your rubbish removal. It is much more cost-effective and convenient than skip hire, and means that someone else has to do all of the heavy lifting and shifting.
